      The purpose focused on understanding the changes in the strategic thinking of small and medium-sized industries in the auto parts sector in Venezuelan economic complexity. Methodologically, it was based on the interpretive paradigm, concluding that strategic thinking has mainly included: the setting of objectives in relation to the organizational goal, the effort in the development of business activity despite failures of public services; the investment in innovation for the redesign of the structure in: products, processes, and socio-organizational that includes a new organizational mentality, seeking at least the operational maintenance in Venezuelan economic complexity.       El propósito se centró en comprender los cambios en el pensamiento estratégico de las pequeñas y medianas industrias del sector autopartes en la complejidad económica venezolana. Metodológicamente, se fundamentó en el paradigma interpretativo, concluyendo que el pensamiento estratégico ha incluido principalmente: la fijación de los objetivos en relación con la meta organizacional, el esfuerzo en el desarrollo de la actividad empresarial a pesar de fallas de servicios públicos; la inversión en innovación para el rediseño de la estructura en: productos, procesos, y socio-organizacional que incluye una nueva mentalidad organizativa, buscando como mínimo, el mantenimiento operativo en la complejidad económica venezolana.
