    • Subject Terms:
    • Abstract:
The objective was to analyze the training by competencies of the business administration student at the University of La Guajira (UNIGUAJIRA) Colombia. The theoretical contributions of Cepeda, Perozo and Perozo (2014), Reyes and Fernández (2019), Villafuerte and Benites (2018), Cejas, Rueda, Cayo and Villa (2019) were used. The study was analytical with a field design, taking a sample of 53 students from the program. The results allow to conclude that competency training admits weaknesses to contextualize the bases of occupational and professional training; the curriculum seldom forms to solve administrative problems, requiring the strengthening of specific procedural competencies.
