DESARROLLO DE COMPETENCIAS GERENCIALES PARA EL ABORDAJE DE LA DISCAPACIDAD INTELECTUAL.

The objective was to propose a program for the development of managerial competences in the approach of intellectual disability in primary basic education in the Municipality of Machiques Perijá, Venezuela. Methodologically, the research was typified projective, field, with a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 6 directors and 55 teachers from three institutions. A questionnaire with 48 items was administered, validated by 5 experts and subjected to reliability, obtaining as a result 1. The results determined that although there is knowledge about intellectual disability, the necessary competencies are not available to address this difficulty in the classrooms. El objetivo fue proponer un programa para el desarrollo de competencias gerenciales en el abordaje de la discapacidad intelectual en educación básica primaria en el Municipio de Machiques Perijá, Venezuela. Metodológicamente, la investigación se tipificó proyectiva, de campo, con diseño no experimental. La población estuvo constituida por 6 directivos y 55 docentes de tres instituciones. Fue administrado un cuestionario con 48 ítems, validado por 5 expertos y sometido a confiabilidad, obteniendo como resultado que a pesar de que existen conocimientos sobre la discapacidad intelectual, no se tienen las competencias necesarias para abordar esta dificultad en las aulas.
