    • Abstract:
The objective was to identify the mathematical weaknesses in ninth grade students of the Escuela Técnica Comercial Dr. Jesús Enrique Losada. It was a descriptive research; the quantitative paradigm and a crosssectional design were used, with a sample of 138 students of the Physics subject. The data were collected by means of a checklist. The results indicate that 82% read the problem statement carefully, while 18% of the students did not do so. Thirty-one percent showed weaknesses in reviewing the problem statement. Finally, there are weaknesses that limit few students to easily solve the problems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
