Supericies may also signify a building that belong to the owner of the ground but over which another person, called the supericiarius has a right in personam --negotio supericiario-- , and remedies "in rem et in personam" applicable to the protection of the right, provided the supericiarius pay a certain sum of money as rent to the owner.
