      The aim of the paper is to point out the role and the importance of the economic and financial function (EFF) in the process of restructuring the public enterprise. The EFF function represents a complex integrated entity and provides a basis for the development of profound analyzes which provide forehanded and reliable information to the management so they could make any kind of business decision easily. A special contribution is reflected in the restructuring process. The method of the survey will assess the reliability of business information obtained during the restructuring process. Organizational restructuring requires a huge effort in which all employees participate. In order to be successful, it is necessary to put, any change that the restructuring process causes, under control. The restructuring proj ect should be managed in a way that the organizational changes of the public company are effectively realized through the achievement of their set goals. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Cilj rada je da ukaže na ulogu i značaj koju ekonomsko-finansijska funkcija (EKF) ima u procesu restrukturiranja javnog preduzeća. EKF funkcija predstavlja kompleksno povezanu celinu i kao takva pruža realnu osnovu za izradu dubinskih analiza koja menadžmentu pružaju pravovremene i pouzdane informacije bez kojih je teško doneti poslovnu odluku. Svoj poseban doprinos iskazuje u procesu restrukturiranja. Metodom ankete oceniće se pouzdanost poslovnih informacija dobijenih u procesu restrukturiranja. Organizaciono restrukturiranje zahteva ogroman kolektivni napor u kojem učestvuju svi zaposleni. Da bi bilo uspešno potrebno je svaku promenu koju proces restrukturiranja prouzrokuje staviti pod kontrolu, a projektom restrukturiranja omogućiti efektivno realizovanje postavljenih ciljeva.
