    • Abstract:
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the voluntary commitment of corporations in implementing social, environmental and financial strategies beyond any legal mandate and related to everybody influenced by their normal activities. For this research a questionnaire was formed, sent to a number of pharmaceutical companies in Greece, and the answers were collected and processed by the SPSS software package. The companies returning the completed questionnaire stated good knowledge on CSR, implement strategies of the kind for reasons of corporate responsibility, social acceptance and public image considerations, preferring to focus on sponsorships, cooperation with non-profitable organizations and charity schemes and have not shrunk their CSR budget- or they shrunk it slightly- despite the crisis. Such activities are not considered as hampering their profitability or diminishing their competitiveness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
